They have lost all good will with the fans/customers forever now, it can never be gotten back. Yet things they sold the game on were either ripped out because not finished still or scrapped long ago and never put back in. All core mechanics/features should have been done at the minimum a year ago. Launching this game like this is no excuse on anyone's part.

At the very least 6 years at full scale development. This made them push the release date several times just to get the game in a working state but they didn't have enough time to deal with the mountain of bugs piling up as a result of scaling back at this stage, especially in the old consoles.Д«itchhhhhh, they had 8 fucking years to complete them game. They made the decision to cut these features for now, but anyone who works with code knows adding or removing one line could cause a ton of issues, so removing whole features lowered stability of the game. The development team probably hadn't finished a lot of the extra systems or learned they would break key aspects of the game (an example of this is the wall climbing with mantis blades breaking level design so they cut a feature that they had spent development resources on). The game was in development for a long time and the business side needed to see a return of investment, so they tried to push the game out in April. I think this is somewhat accurate, the most likely scenario is that the higher-ups demanded a lot of systems and the business and marketing team promised those to us consumers so the development team had to work towards implementing them.
